What’s in a name?

We’ve had a few questions regarding a public Facebook post from another Chiropractor in Belper that was published about our clinic name and “Unscrupulous Business Practises” — so let’s clear the air.

Our clinic is called Belper Chiropractic Health Centre — a new, independently owned Chiropractic practice in the heart of Belper.

We chose this name to reflect exactly what we offer and where we are. It’s clear, descriptive, and honest — which is how we operate as a clinic, too.

We’ve since heard there’s another chiropractor in town who feels our name is too similar to theirs. That came as a surprise — we didn’t even realise they were here until after making the decision to go forward with our current name.

We genuinely believed that business had relocated to Ashbourne, as—like many others—we couldn’t see any visible clinic presence while driving through Belper. Online, their branding appears under several different names, including:“Ashbourne & Belper Chiropractic Centre”, “Ashbourne & Belper Chiropractic & Functional Health Centre”, “Belper Chiropractic Centre”, “DrStav.com”, and “Soulfire Hi Gong” — which only added to the confusion.

We understand that change can sometimes feel uncomfortable, but we firmly believe that choice is a good thing for patients — and there’s room for all of us to succeed through excellent care.

So just to be clear:

• ✅ We didn’t copy anyone
• ✅ We’re focused entirely on providing clear, ethical, high-quality chiropractic care under our own name
